Day 01: Abroad - Delhi
Midnight : Upon arrival at Indira Gandhi International Airport you
would be welcomed by our executive who would be holding your name on a
placard. Our executive would assist you to check into your hotel.
Overnight stay at Delhi.
Delhi is a city which narrates the history of India. The city was
built and destroyed seven times and has been witness to the various
events which has brought India through the history books. Today as the
capital of India, Delhi is the seat of administration and the
monuments which tell the saga of a bygone era stand there. These icons
are testimony to the grandeur of past and also an attraction for the
tourists. With an area of 1483 sq. Kms, Delhi is all set to acquire
full statehood. The charm of Delhi has attracted Emperors, Conquerors
and poor in equally. It is correctly said that Delhi is a land of 'Dilwalas'
or for people with heart. This phrase acquires a true colour when one
goes around the lanes of Delhi.
Day 02: Old & New Delhi
After breakfast explore a city where dreams comes to reality. While
touring Delhi, you will experience a blend of ancient well preserved
monuments like Qutab Minar, Red Fort, jama Masjid, and passing by
President's House, Parliament House and Connaught Place shopping
center. Also visit to Raj Ghat and Shanti Van - the cremation sites of
Mahatma Gandhi and Jawaharlal Nehru. Evening walk through narrow
streets of Chandi Chock the old shopping market in Delhi. Overnight
stay at Delhi.
Day 03 : Delhi - Varanasi (1 hour 15m)
After breakfast transfer to the airport to board a flight for
Varanasi. On arrival at Varanasi you will be escorted to yourhotel. n
the evening you can walk through the market and shop for Banarasi Silk
Sarees and Silk brocades which are cherished as collector's items
across the world today. Overnight at Varanasi
The land of Varanasi (Kashi) has been the ultimate pilgrimage spot for
Hindus for ages. Often referred to as Benares, Varanasi is the oldest
living city in the world. These few lines by Mark Twain say it all: "Benaras
is older than history, older than tradition, older even than legend
and looks twice as old as all of them put together". Hindus believe
that one who is graced to die on the land of Varanasi would attain
salvation and freedom from the cycle of birth and re-birth. Abode of
Lord Shiva and Parvati, the origins of Varanasi are yet unknown.
Ganges in Varanasi is believed to have the power to wash away the sins
of mortals.
Day 04 : VaranasiThe rays of the dawn shimmering across the
Ganges, the high-banks, the temples and shrines along the banks bathed
in a golden hue, soul stirring hymns and mantras along with the
fragrance of incense filling the air, and the refreshing dip in the
holy waters gently splashing at the Ghats will make up for an
unforgettable experience of the land where experience and discovery
reach the ultimate bliss. In the afternoon, we will take a sightseeing
tour of Varanasi. See Kashi Vishvanath temple, Bharat mata temple,
Kashi Hindu University and Ramnagar Fort. Afternoon visit to Sarnath
Temple, Chaukhandi Stupa, Dhamek Stupa, Ashoka Pillar. Come back to
the hotel and stay overnight.
Day 05 :Day 05 : Varanasi - Khajuraho
Wake up early in the morning and take a boat ride on the River
Ganges. As you float down the bathing ghats with a boat, or take steps
leading down to the river, you will see pilgrims having ritual dips,
chanting prayers and offering flowers while worshipping the holy
river. Return to the hotel, take rest and refreshment. Transfer to the
airport to board the 12:25pm flight. Upon arrival you will be checked
into a hotel. Visit the Khajuraho Temples which will give you an
insight into the Indian architectural genius of the Medieval period.
Overnight in the Hotel The Jass Oberoi (A Deluxe Hotel of Oberoi
Groupl).
Khajuraho, once the great Chandela capital, is today a village of about a few thousand people in the interiors of central India, in Chhatarpur district of Madhya Pradesh. Tradition records the existence of eighty five temples, of which only twenty five, strewn amidst lakes and fields, have survived. The temples at Khajuraho, brilliant examples of medieval Indian architecture, were built under later Chandela kings between AD 950 and AD 1050. Each ancient structure in India has a fascinating story to tell. But few match the temples of Khajuraho.
Day 06 :Khajuraho - Orcha - (175 km) Jhansi - Agra
A leisurely breakfast begins your day. Drive over to Jhansi. On the
way we stop over at Orchha. Visit the Chaturbhuj Temple, the Ramraja
Temple and the Lakshminarayana Temple. Drive to Jhansi continues.
Check into a hotel for lunch in late afternoon. Transfer to the
airport and board the flight to Agra. Dinner and Overnight in the
Hotel Jay Pee Palace (A Five Star Hotel)
Agra is famous as the home to one of the Seven Wonders of the World -the Taj Mahal built by Emperor Shah Jahan in the memory of his beloved consort Mumtaz Mahal. This beautiful mausoleum took 22 years to complete with a work force of 20,000 craftsmen and master builders, who came from all over Asia to join in this great work from Baghdad, Shiraz, Delhi, Samarkand and Turkey. Agra was their capital for nearly a hundred years from 1564. A pleasant town, with a comparatively easy pace, Agra is known for its superb inlay work on marble and soapstone by artisans who are hereditary craft persons. The city is also famous for its carpets, gold thread embroidery and leather shoes.
Day 07 : Agra Sightseeing
See the sun rise over the Taj Mahal, an unforgettable way vista of
this white marvle. Explore the Taj complex, which includes a Mosque on
the western side and a matching rest house on the east, and listen to
the interesting tales of romance and valor from our well educated
guides. Visit the Agra Fort in early afternoon and then cross the
River Yamuna to watch the sun set behind the Taj Mahal. You can stroll
through the markets and shop for some of the antiques during the
evening. Dinner and Overnight in the Hotel Jay Pee Palace (A Five Star
Hotel).
Jaipur, the vibrant capital of Rajasthan, is popularly known as the '
Pink City ' because of the pink-coloured buildings in its old city. It
sits on a dry lake bed in a somewhat arid landscape, surrounded by
barren hills surmounted by forts and crenellated walls. This buzzing
metropolis is certainly a place of wild contrasts and a feast for the
eyes. All through, Jaipur has retained its strong Rajputana flavour
tempered by several influences - the mughal being the most prominent.
The region's strong cultural heritage is distinctly evident even
today. The city is a visitor's delight. From the intricate, delicate
looking Hawa Mahal to the graphic forms of the Jantar Mantar - an open
air observatory of outsized astronomical instruments, the Badi Chaupar
lined with shops and business establishments on both sides to the
majestic fort-palace at Amber; from the colorful fountains of life to
the sublime Birla Temple; from the architectural delight of the City
Palace to the serene Jal Mahal.
Day 08 : Agra - Fatehpur Sikri - Jaipur (230 km)
Begin your day with an early breakfast. We set on our trip to Jaipur
visiting Fatehpur Sikri on the way. The sprawling city comprises of
the Palace Complex which has nine monuments and the Mosque Complex.
Walking through the Buland Darwaja in the Mosque Complex will be quite
a mesmerizing experience. On the periphery of the city away from the
administrative buildings you will find personal palaces like the
Sunehra Mahal (golden palace) sporting vivid wall murals. Nestling
alongside this palace lie Jodhabai's and Birbal's Palaces. The drive
to Jaipur continues. Dinner and overnight in 'The Trident-Hilton' (A
Deluxe Hotel of Hilton Group).
Day 09 : Jaipur Sightseeing
The ninth day of your 'Famous Bazaar Temple Tajmahal Fort Palaces
Tour', visit to India might well turn out to be a most memorable one
as we begin our city sightseeing with The City Palace. It's numerous
outbuildings, courtyards, impressive gateways and temples will sum up
for a very unique experience. We then explore the Hawa Mahal, a
remarkable structure from where you can have some excellent views of
the city. Moving on to the Nahargarh Fort you can view the city from
the hill-top. Towards the evening you can enjoy the beauty of the
landscaped gardens at Kanak Vrindavan, a newly restored temple on the
foothills of Nahargarh. Overnight in the hotel.
Day 10 : Jaipur - 42 km - Samode
In the morning we head for Jal Mahal, built for royal duck shooting
parties. Later in the day you can stroll through the colourful markets
of the city and shop for some of the antique pieces to take back home.
Late afternoon we leave for Samode. We halt for the day at dune
coloured tents of Samode Bagh. Enjoy your dinner amidst the freshness
of the garden air and a cultural performance. Overnight at Samode
Bagh.
Day 11 : Samode - 250 km - Delhi
We embark on a sightseeing tour of the village enjoying a camel
safari. Meet the colourfully dressed locals and the farmers at work to
have a feel of the rural India. Later we visit the Samode Palace,
which is a treat for the eyes amidst the quiet of the protective
hills. Lunch at Hotel Samode Palace. Later in the afternoon drive over
to Delhi. Overnight at Delhi.
Day 12 :Delhi - Abroad
After breakfast free for your individual activities. Walk through
the bustling lanes of Chandni Chowk , Connaught Place, Karol Bagh.
This is best way to know about culture of that place. We ensure timely
